What you should know about Google Pay App

Google Pay app is designed to offer seamless payment experience as it lets you:

  • Pay and receive cash straight from your local bank account

One of the interesting features of Google Pay is that it is directly linked to the savings or current account you operate with a bank account, which means you really don’t have to worry about the safety of your money since it’s still in a personal account. Besides, there is no need to move cash to your any wallets or go for KYC. Whenever you want to make a payment or receive money, the app provides a perfect replacement for your traditional credit card.

Google Pay uses NPCI’s (National Payments Corporation of India) BHIM Unified Payments Interface (BHIM UPI), a standard payment infrastructure for all banks in India to process money transfers securely, so you don’t have to bother about the success or failure of every transaction. Every potential user of the app must have an Indian bank account with a phone number linked to it before they use the latest version of the app.

Just like the MasterCard or Visa payment is accepted on stores worldwide, anywhere you see BHIM UPI is accepted, look for the Google Pay unique logo or use your Google Pay UPI ID to check out easily.

  • Pay anyone, Even those without Google Pay

If you have just concluded business with a partner and need to pay them on the go, Google Pay lets you initiate a payment easily, this is as simple as starting new conversations with someone on your contact, but for a non-user, you can enter his/her UPI ID or bank details. Even if you leave your wallet at home, be rest assured that you will not be stranded when you need to pay someone with speed.

  • Conveniently pay bills

Utilities are services we can’t do without as they make our everyday life better. This is the reason you can’t afford to miss upcoming bills when they fall due. Google Pay app also lets you pay for electricity, gas, water, and more. All you need to do is link your biller accounts once and you would never have to do it again, the rest they say is history; Google Pay works with billers across India.

  •  Enjoy multiple layers of security from your bank, UPI, and Google

Nothing assures one of security of transactions that the technology infrastructure upon a card is built. This is another reason Google Pay has attracted over 100 million + downloads, the app protects you with a world-class security system that helps detect fraud and prevent hacking faster. The way it works is that each of the transactions carried out is secured with your UPI PIN, and you can opt to safeguard your account, via customer support centre, with a device lock method such as your fingerprint.

  • Transfer money to anyone nearby

Google pay also lets you use Tez Mode to send money with speed and security to friends and family nearby without sharing private number or sensitive information.

  • Get rewarded

It’s not about spendings, you can also get a reward for your activities on the Google Pay app. With Google Pay Scratch Cards (TM), you are automatically pre-qualified to win up to ₹1,000 with each eligible transaction. If you win, your cash reward goes straight into your bank account.
